Late Feb to mid June - Community Bee Hive Project
Thanks to all those that voted for our community bee hive project at the 1 Feb LCCC Grand Choice voting day. We have now been awarded a LCCC grant for this exciting project. If you live in the Killultagh Electoral Area and especially if you are from the Whitemountain area and you might have an interest in the setting up and early running of a bee hive then send us a quick note through the Contact Us tab.
As Bees are in effect wild creatures and can sting we need to restrict the numbers and age groups that can be involved in activities at the hive itself. Site prep, hive building and set up is possible for all to be involved in but hive management will be restricted to over 18 years of age. Working party days will usually be on a Saturday and to be involved you will need to be able to commit to a number of Saturday morning or afternoons and maybe some evenings up to middle of June.
This is another first for WDCA and we hope to hear from you.

Please come to Maghaberry Community Centre and place your vote for our community bee hive project at a LCCC 'Grand Choice' voting day. We hope that volunteers from the wider Killultagh electoral area will also get involved in a unique environmentally themed project.
To really enable the project to get going, we really need locals to go along on 1st February and vote for our project amongst those on show.
